Drawings Of Subject Matter

These are my drawings of subject matter. This is where I printed of lyrics from the 'Arctic Monkeys' from one of their songs. I annotated the lyrics to gather a theme and key scenes and images that pop into my head while I analyse there lyrics. Themes such as; similarities, differences, alcohol, death, skeleton, bodies, cigarettes etc... These items will be the main subjects which will be incorporated into my final piece.

Conventions Of The Form

Scamps of others designs

These are pictures of images which I have drawn. I have tried to copy peoples work to get an idea of the style which they use and to see how they work with space. Also how they creatively include text into the work. It also gave me an idea of what works with what and expanded my knowledge on drawing. This lead me to draw out styles and to practice and look at what other artists use in their work.

Full Pinboards

These are screenshots of what my pinterest pinboard looks like. I have gathered and looked through others work and gathered work which gives me ideas and which are related to the exam question. They all have various styles which I can pick off and utilize throughout my work so that my final piece has been experimented and adjusted with to make it perfect. Since I have focused on a specific band called the 'Arctic Monkeys' due to the styles of their gig posters being creative and following an indie/grunge effect which I would like to include throughout my work. These pinboards give me flares of ideas through my imagination.

Brainstorming The Brief

This is my brainstorm of the brief. I used key words and elevated ideas of it to give me an idea about what I could do for my work throughout the course. It allowed me to see so many possibilities to what the question could mean and what images, styles, artists and designs this could be linked too.
